Dartmouth, Massachusetts is a coastal New England town separated into two parts: North Dartmouth and South Dartmouth. Dartmouth itself is part of the Farm Coast New England comprising a chain of historic coastal villages, vineyards, and farms including Padanaram Village and Russell's Mills. It is celebrating its 350th birthday this 2014. It is also part of the Massachusetts South Coast (or SOCO). The local daily newspaper is South Coast Today, and the region's monthly magazine is known as SOCO, and is credited for giving the area its acronym.
